Noted. But like I said...I don't recall seeing any email from either Virgin or PP about this and if I did get an email it clearly was not made obvious.

I received the notification in the monthly update received from PP on 6th July.

Not happy Virgin!!!! Not happy PP!!!!I was blissfully unaware of this change. I don't recall seeing any email from either Virgin or PP about this and if I did get an email it clearly was not made obvious. I walked in to The Lounge in SYD this morning and was refused access...Time to rethink my domestic airline allegiance!

trololol. For the past month everytime I've used PP the front desk has kindly advised it was being removed shortly. Also got an email from PP and also a physical letter from PP. On top of that, the Virgin announcements. I think Virgin made it very clear, but if you are only travelling once a year and don't read any airline emails and throw away priority pass letters, then perhaps it would be embarrasing.

I think your comments may be a little harsh. I don't recall receiving any notification from PP either, but, of course, I was aware of the change via AFF.

We seem to be back to a cosy airline duopoly in this country (well, heck, the CEO of Virgin is even an ex-Qantas employee). Fine if your employer is paying for your tickets, but it does impact the cost of living for everyone.

I have sent a feedback email to Virgin on the removal of access to PP members, and have had no response.

I would choose DJ every time because of lounge access with my PP, but without it I am now down to the cheapest fare, (normally JQ, with a few extra buck for FF miles). Which not normally DJ, I understand why they have removed it, but you would think they would offer a discounted membership to try and switch people over. I am not prepared to hand over $500+ when I still have my PP membership.

To me it is a no brainier, they already have heavily discounted membership for their corp customers. Why not try and capture some of the SME's using PP and try and keep them in the DJ fold?

Oh the not happy I have not received a response to my email to their customer service team.

I read all my PP e-mails (and yes, I do receive them) and all postal mail I receive from them too, and didn't hear anything about this from them or Virgin (I'm also a Virgin member). Not that I've used the Virgin lounges before (or in fact, my PP pass membership at all!), but I was planning to do so occasionally over the next few months. Oh well, back to the QF J Lounge. :)

I have used PP once - at the LAS CO lounge whilst awaiting my AA flight to LAX.

(luckily AA use the same terminal area as CO)

So they will let you in regardless of who you are flying.

Pity the same access does not extend to Virgin Platinum??

Am flying AA (again) out of LAS and absolutely nothing to do except drink and pokies.......
