Today we are excited to unleash our new Virgin Australia Canine Crew in a world first initiative. On select flights, a Canine Crew member will work alongside our award-winning Cabin Crew team to offer a range of additional services.

Congratulations to all pooches who have completed their rigorous training program and officially take to the skies for the first time today.

I think they're trialling American pit bulls to protect the J cabin from interlopers.

I welcome guarding the forward toilet on all domestic flights.

If this was real, and a big IF. I wonder how those poochies will have their rest breaks on the flights, where do they go to excuse themselves, what do they eat, what their pay will be, at what rates they will get paid, do they get to have annual leave, tax withheld, superannuation...
On an aside, just imagine if Aust airlines were like the US ones, where we could take dogs and cats onto the passenger area of planes!
