Virgin changing its fare structure

cheap biz fares & now throwing out lounge yearly access with AMEX Plat yet making it more difficult to keep status, what VA playing at?

All these cheap fare are to keep status holders to requalify, but then it becomes much tougher from Oct 2025.

Really an inconsistent approach IMO.

The balance of thinning out lounges over loosing paying passengers? what's more beneficial?
the F&B in lounges rather cheap compared to ditching may status holders, just my opinion.

Looks like the new & improved fares haven't made it onto all routes. This is the Perth-Kalgoorlie pricing as of now.

This is expected behaviour.

Under the new structure fares in the U and F buckets (sale fares) are only available as choice fares with no corresponding flex fare add on. What this means is the flex fare you're seeing is actually the S fare of a choice plus the flex fare add on.

Regional WA routes tend not to have lite fares on sale hence why you're seeing a Choice U fare (cheapest choice available), an Flex S fare (cheapest flex available) then the unchanged business fare (in this case a D fare).
