Virgin are certainly hurting themselves by taking the sit back and wait approach.

We all know of examples where they have lost revenue due to the problems with the new system (esquire's comments in a thread here come to mind). They certainly lost one sector from me this week.

Qantas must be rubbing their hands together - it's usually been the other way around in the recent past

My mistake. I thought they'd added a bunch of answers since i saw it last.

... in that case it's less excusable that most of the post transition questions aren't covered yet.

An update on this - my company (250 people but we do a lot of domestic travel) sent out advice regarding flight booking to select QF first and only VA if it is significantly cheaper, as it is not worth the time of our consultants or admin staff waiting on the phone and everyone getting confused - we have had some very negative feedback from areas managers over the past 2 weeks (and some of these are normally only VA flyers). The new Saver Light Fare has ended up costing a few bookings very dearly.

I have only seen 2 VA bookings across my desk in the last two weeks - would normally see 20 or so.
