Isn't a lounge coming to Hobart in 2260?

You must have miss the piece (granted it was small) on page 8 of a recent addition of the Hobart Mercury. It noted the 2260 dated had been deemed 'too ambitious' and an announcement would be forth coming with respected to the revised 'achievable' date in due course .........

I am glad Darwin is first off the rank for between those two.
It is a lot more pleasant to sit with the rest of the zoo in Hobart than in Darwin, especially at this time of year that is for sure.

Unfortunately have to go there next week sans lounge - the heat is unbearable in that airport :-(

i believe this lounge is now open, with an opening time of 45mins prior to a flight, closed during the day when no flights depart

Darwin lounge is definitely open, I was there on Good Friday, and it opened on Monday that week.

I used it on arrival from SYD, and was pleasantly surprised to find there was hot food (some Asian-style noodle thing), in addition to the typical VA buffet selection. Aircon was nice and strong! The space is similar in size to the Gold Coast one, but it's all open plan. Had a brief chat to the friendly lounge dragon, and she sounded quite proud of the fact that it was open-plan and could fit 150 people... we'll see how that one goes, eh?
