Virgin IT issues - had to buy another ticket for flight i'd checked in.

I'll give that a try in a couple of days if the Delta website doesn't update, although I'm not too hopeful (a pessimist by nature LOL). When I rang Delta on the two previous occasions, they could only see in their systems what I could see on on their website, so the replacement e-ticket/s and itinerary details for some reason just didn't go across.
