I just did SYD MEL HBA return this week and pretty much identical scrambled eggs and chipolatas for breakfast in Sydney on the way down and chicken rice for lunch in Melbourne on the way back. The chipolatas were quite spicy and great for breakfast! Eggs were bleh.

I did like the chicken rice too.

120 SC in our family pool account on Elevate fare thanks to DSC promo :-)

MEL lounge 15:30

Miso broth with chicken
Potato and leek soup
Vegetarian pizettes

Soup very thick, not watery at all and nice. Same with the pizzettes though a little greasy (but it's pizza after all...!). Good selection.

Duck tortellini has come out now.

Why duck? What a strange filling for tortellini, don't think I've ever seen it before. Pass for me, not a big fan of duck, personally!

I love duck but can’t say I’ve ever had it as filling in pasta. Hopefully I come across it in one of the lounges

The usual lame attempt at Perth in the late afternoon. Potato & Leek soup is all that's on offer (it's good though, so I guess that's something)...

BNE lounge 24/3 was nice looking eggs Benedict. I didn't partake as I'd had breakfast already, but they looked pretty good.

Friday 29 March; those Eggs Benedict was there again and they were awesome,

one muffin piece; a small piece of bacon, egg, sauce and some green for colour, staff were doing the serving. :D

I get the impression sometimes Virgin don't always get it right but generally its different which I enjoy.

Nice poached eggs in CBR at 8am the other day. Bacon and sausages looked ok. Everything else was standard.

Mushroom risotto and pizza in the MEL lounge. Also free peach Kombuchas..

Haven't seen those kombucha cans.. Behind the counter or self serve?

It’s a limited-time promo, and they’re self-serve for the taking. Here in SYD:

It's sold onboard as well... they're good value at the lounge price, but I certainly wouldn't pay $5 for it!

And here was last night’s dinner (despite the sign) in BNE, Sat 06 Apr 2019:

ADL this evening was the Chicken and chestnut dumplings and the vegetarian gyoza as shown above. Both were quite tasty.
Lounge was a pig sty though. Crushed corn chips and potato crisps scattered everywhere
