BNE lounge Sunday evening 8/9

Green curry chicken until 1830pm ... then replaced by nasi goreng fried rice. Both tasty.

Agree lounge is busy.

Doing a midnight horror run PER-SYD on the 28th ... any ideas on whether dinner service shuts down at some time?

Trying to work out if I should eat before I head to the airport or chance a meal in the lounge?

2 weeks ago I had a tomato and cheese toasted sandwich in Melbourne. On the Sydney Domestic connection it came out...Have been sick for 2 weeks since that moment now doc said food poisoning! Put me off Lounge food now which is a bugger.

Shoutout to Virgin who did cancel my onward flight for me in lounge no penalty got my bag had staff walk me to the Taxi before crashing at a hotel.

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking and hope you don't think I'm asking with any doubt or accusation, though how were you certain it was the Lounge food which caused the disruption? I've previously suffered the consequences of what I'm sure was food poisoning in First on an SQ flight from LHR-SIN, however, I couldn't be certain if it was the food I ate the evening before at Covent Garden Market, the prawns from the bain-marie in the SQ Lounge, the Satay sticks on board, or the starter salad (I do remember it having a slightly peculiar taste). 7 hours into the flight, it all came up. When I did some reading, there was lots of information indicating that effects could even take up to a few days to show. Food Poisoning - Fact or fiction (NSW Govt)

Perth lounge tonight - Hot meals were a curried cauliflower soup and Carbonara pasta.

Cold dishes were a sweet potato & quinoa AND a spicy chicken pasta salad.

Nothing was that inspiring hence no photos.

SYD tonight ... still on the lunch menu.

Vegan Noodle and two soups.

Pissed off as I’m flying with four other family members in Economy X.

What a waste of all my comp passes.

DIY beef burrito for dinner at the BNE lounge tonight...

Happy New Year/leap month, AFF! Chicken mansaf with yoghurt and roasted nuts for lunch at the BNE lounge...

How was it? I just missed this flying out.

MEL did have a nice pepper and cous cous soup on arrival though. 😊

Sydney lounge continues to be vegetarian only hot options every time I'm there. The so called thai chicken soup had zero chicken in it. Either I'm very unlucky or the manager there must be a vegan/vegetarian lol

I'm pretty sure all the hot food (well the sauces/soups at least) come pre-made in big plastic bags. People just pick the chicken out when helping themselves, as there isn't enough in there to begin with...meaning if you are toward the back of the queue you end up with the vegetarian meal you enjoyed!

Yeah my last comment was tongue in cheek. However some of the soups and noodle dishes often have none to begin with even though they have chicken in the name. Maybe chicken flavoured stock lol
