Virgin Lounge Food

In the lounge, yes. I've done the 5:30am entry a few weeks ago and the baristas and chef were fired up and already making everyone happy. Menu items are limited to literally eggs or something ( i didnt order) . There is toast and other heated items from the buffet.

Most VA lounges will have lukeish warm bain marie baby (as in small sized) sausages, usually lukeish warm mashed eggs, ADL has whole eggs, barista made coffee, though you can make your own tea, ...
Like as if they don't trust us to to let us have more than one cup of coffee, I sometimes have two cups, and though its allowed, its just a pain in the ... to have to ask for one more cup.
The coffee is the only heat hot thing that they have, strong too, haven't tried their super strong yet.
SYD T2 used to be the AN lounge a very long ago, so if its your first visit, maybe its worth a look see.

Ok thanks guys. I saw some nice photos posted in here of baked beans, bacon and potato but those must have been from international lounges im assuming?

The last time i was in the sydney lounge at breakfast time the only hot food i recall seeing was a make your own pancake device which was painfully slow and produced tiny little pancakes haha. But that was a few years ago.

Has definitely been in MEL dom lounge but I've never been at a VA lounge that early. Can always ask staff what is available if you do get there at that time.
Personally, I'd sleep in a bit but allow 15 minutes for the lounge in case there's something that suits.

Yes I think I'll aim to get to the lounge just before 6

Thought no turkey in the VA MELd the lounge but they have appeared after noon.
Bigger than the ADL turkey barquette.
The MEL turkey round roll is huge!

Nothing looked worth eating at the sydney lounge this morning so i just had a hot chocolate. Wasnt too bad however the marshmellows were hard lol

Looks very frothy...and sad the marshmallows were hard, but I guess it's more of an excuse to soak them up in the hot chocolate! :)

Poached eggs and bacon in MEL this morning.
Zucchini and lemon risotto with Parmesan and chilli flakes on the side in ADL this evening. Risotto had more corn and carrot than zucchini and was all cleared up and packed away by 6:30pm

No pics sorry but Moroccan chicken and rice in the MEL lounge this weekend. Looked decent. But I thoroughly enjoyed a bean, corn and quinoa salad along with cold spiced chicken pieces. Very good.

Thai based slightly sour vinegary cold chilled veg glass noodles VAd MEL lounge.
Timing about 4.30pm last Fri before my first ever VA flight cancellation!
Dish was tastily sour with that cancellation!

Stew with rice was hot option.
Visible pieces of beef at that too.
Edit: was it Moroccan chicken stew?
Bugger am getting too old, thought it was beef in there on Fri!

cairns, brisbane and sydney lounges are the same offerings during the daytime, only that the soup of the day is always different.

I didn’t actually eat it so I may have it wrong and it might have been beef as you say!
