Virgin Lounge in Perth closed prior to the redeye departures?

Two weeks ago it was closing when the 6PM (now 5:55pm) Melbourne flight, VA694 was called for boarding. This is still the last flight prior to the red eyes.

Really it's 5 hours from then until the red-eyes leave, so I understand closing but they should give at least business class and plats vouchers.
Thanks, Bagpuss. Disappointing to hear. Vouchers would be barely acceptable, in my view - especially since if they did issue them they'd be low value. It's a crock, really, particularly when the website claims otherwise. False advertising...

Indeed totally disappointing

Opens daily from 60 minutes before first Virgin Australia flight departure until last Virgin Australia flight departure.

The Virgin website has been updated in the past week, from previously saying the Perth lounge closes at 6pm, to now back saying open "until last Virgin Australia flight departure" and that a "Lite supper service served from 6pm." That would indicate some level of opening and service, so would like to hear if anyone can confirm?

They can't spell light?

What is a lite supper? Cheese and crackers?

Probably no hot food and just pre-made sandwiches and wraps.

Even more reason to bring the toastie stations back, VA ;)

We have been able to confirm that the Perth lounge has indeed now reopened in the evening for the redeye departures.

Well these nickel and dimers will be delighted they do not need to spend money changing this totally misleading door sign I photod last trip, and was marooned there for many hours with no lounge waiting for the SYD redeye. Had to chase them 2 times as the Biz flights had not posted either. :(
