given the lack of excitement, i am guessing this is not AT0 friendly then.
A couple of questions here - need 275 status credits by end May to requal for platinum, with no flights envisaged until then (current project sees me on charter flights with no points earning). How quickly do the SCs post? Also with family pooling, if my wife and I both get the card, does this mean 300 SCs are up for grabs?
Nope, It's a Citi Bank card. All ATO unfriendly. Still in my opinion a good Visa earn rate and since I fly domestically with the wife a lot I get value out of the 2-. Hard to pass up the 60K
I'd disagree. I've used the High Flyer card for ATO payments and received 1.25 points for every dollar.
I've finally seen the catch. Annual fee of $289 for 150 SC.
Although that may be the case, the 1.25 Velocity Points per dollar is unmatched by any direct earn Visa or MasterCard offering, with only Citi's Prestige card beating it out for domestic transactions (1.33 points per dollar after transfer). Although the American Express offerings are better for certain types of spend, the universal acceptance of Visa makes this a great card to have.
Even at $289, that's less than $2 / SC and that's before you factor in the other benefits the card offers.
The link posted previously isn't working for me - does anyone have a current link to this offer?
