Virgin next steps - streaming content, lounges

I wonder what has happened to the Darwin lounge, too hard basket perhaps.

Maybe something to do with the fact that there are only 4 flights a day. + .5 silkair

I don't know what's worse mgmt.
Building a lounge when there are places with higher demand. Or announcing it and backing away.
One thing is certain in my eyes though, JB is not worth $4 million.

I suspect the issue is DJ cannot get anymore slots into Darwin at the times they need.

Slots into Darwin? I didn't think that DRW would be capacity constrained (runways or gates?), or are you talking about departure and arrival slots at SYD/MEL or BNE to service the flights to Darwin?

Darwin is actually quite gate constrained for most civilised arrival/ departure times from the East coast, so it's either time new flights awkwardly or go without. For the meantime until the terminal is expanded it seems go without is the course of action...

Spot on, from 11-2PM there are no free apron spaces, which is why DJ have a late PM departure to Darwin, which is actually handy for business customers. Same occurs around midnight.

Can we _please_ have an international lounge out of PER? Even a shared lounge/contract arrangement would do ... for goodness sakes, Sydney getting yet another make over, third world countries have VA/DJ shared lounges, but PER ... nothing....
