Received a phone call this afternoon stating that as I was a Virgin Business Customer I would receive a $50 voucher to be redeemed online. When I said I wasn’t such a customer they hung up.

Scam?

Most likely. Why would they call if it was an online voucher? If indeed you were a Virgin Business Customer (whatever that is) an email advising that a voucher code has been credited to your Velocity account would have been the expected method.

I suspect they may have wanted me to provide details of my account so they could 'apply' it.

Despite some snide remarks here, I think it probably was a legitimate call.

I received this email on 2nd December, and was provided a $50 credit (which I've since used). I signed up to Business Flyer a while back (mostly just involved providing an ABN), but hadn't made any bookings using it.

Maybe. But our business didn't sign up for it and I haven't travelled on Virgin for years, and our business, never. So why the call?
