I think you're asking if QF will status march Virgin?

If thats is what you're asking the official answer is No.I believe they may offer you a fast track challenge to Gold, but you would need to complete it before getting the status.

Keep in mind also that QF plat is significantly more beneficial than VA plat especially when flying international. QF knows this too and thus won't offer any VA status matches anytime soon. It's always the other way around.

I thought the question (which I was unable to answer) was whether any of those occasional special deals has arisen, where for a limited time an airline might give you points in their scheme if you empty all your points out of a competitor's scheme?

As in, whether there is a current deal where QF would give you QF points AND status in return for all your VA points?

Now I've typed it I think I've only ever heard of points transfers rather than status ones (but I'm waaay short of an expert).
