Just received a survey for Virgin, all it was about was sports/arts and what airlines you related to those sports/arts/activities

IE Horseracing, netball, AFL/NRL, Comedy festivals etc

Interesting survey.... personally a waste of time!

That would be the "are we getting value for money out of our AFL and Tennis sponsorship?" survey.

Ah yes well I did associate AFL with Virgin... But that was it, I actually didn't even finish the survey a I got towards the end and it didn't interest me any more

Lucky VA are surveying clients on all the most important current affairs they're grappling with.

PS I associate AFL with the VA webmaster (AFL = Absolutely Firking Legless)

Got the survey as well, sadly it didn't really provide an opportunity to explain how you are feeling generally about Virgin at the moment, only your level of interest in contemporary dance and whether you know who sponsors sports.

Re: Received VFF Invite to an Australian Chamber Orchestra concert which got me think

Interesting...
Just got a lengthy survey asking my interests, and what I thought they did/ should sponsor.

Yep I started a thread on that the other day

I got bored at the end and decided not to submit my responses as they are stuffing around worrying about who to sponsor instead of fixing the real issues.

Oh and people have received Aus Open invites before

Re: Received VFF Invite to an Australian Chamber Orchestra concert which got me think

Unsure whether my response went through as it refused to accept a standard Aus mobile number...

Yes, because the people who do event sponsorship and customer surveys are the exact same people who do IT issues.

Hang on ... if they were sending you a survey ... WHO WAS FLYING THE PLANE?

Cool story

Virgin are/have spent $$ with a research company to research if their sponsorships are working......

Waste of time/money

Why? They are clearly spending a lot of money on sponsorships which is a thing that companies do increase their profile and attract more customers. In turn they then evaluate whether that works.

Please explain the stupidity in this?

You clearly missed the point before....

Because you didn't fill it out?

You're not that important. I really hate to tell you this but a certain amount of non-responses are actually factored in when they do these things.

Cool story again :)

If you have an actual logical point as to why sponsorship surveys divert precious resources away from running an airline i would welcome it.

I have said it twice already...

Virgin have/are spending time/money with cbr the company running the survey. Unless a company is doing this market research for free ?

As I said I got to the end, and didn't submit it as it asked me nothing about what is important, but was just all about who I associated with what airline
