How much unhealthy cough can you fit on a tray?

When the complimentary snack/meal is rolled out more widely I hope there is an at least vaguely nutritious option.

It's there, it's the cup of water! (at least they filled the cup, usually it seems to be half full at best)

I see they mention soft drinks during happy hour now. Wasn't that one of VAs anomaly that annoyed many people.

Personally, I can't work them out. I can't see anyone actually knowing 100% what the offer is or isn't. I put this firmly in the "maybe I'll get something, maybe I won't" basket. It's certainly no incentive to fly VA over QF.

Isn't that the whole idea? You don't know what you are getting so you don't ask and Virgin doesn't go overboard on catering.

It is OK for those with lounge access but what about those out in the terminal? Do I buy a snack/meal/drink in the terminal or is there is going to be something served onboard?

Last two times I tried on SYD-MEL I received "Sorry we don't sell sandwiches when we load the complimentary snacks" and "Sorry, we've no sandwiches left - would you like some nuts instead?"

I usually buy a G&T to wash it down. Small change in the scheme of things, but I've now given up trying and VA miss out on some revenue.

Inconsistent service leads to inconsistent returns.
