Virgin's cheap business class fares are no longer that cheap

VA's nemesis ie, ZL's fares, on the 737 routes are quite cheap in subclass of J, granted they (ZL) still hasn't started their FF program, the website has got the Rex flyer box, but it does lead to any info, just a thin black line, with what looks like mini indented commas at the end of the keyboard mark.

They are exactly the same price as each other on the routes Rex serves. Add discount code for 10% off 21 day advance bookings and VA is cheaper (dependant on number of seats left on either obviously).
You can also avoid the card fee with VA unlike Rex (only way to avoid it with Rex is booking a flight at the airport itself).

A current promo code appears to work great for J (as posted on AFF).
Comparing the two with the Discount Codes.
Rex MEL - SYD cheapest is $349 in Business + booking/card fees
Virgin MEL - SYD cheapest is $316.44 in Business & you can avoid card/booking fees if paying with Poli (plus FF benefits).

So get your minds around this - flying J MEL-PER tomorrow Jan 29 / PER-MEL Thu Feb 2 - no rdpt flts available when I booked for $3,500 10 days ago - just logged in 5 mins ago and J rdpt MEL-PER same flit tomorrow now available 41K pts - so cancel original ret comm fare and secure o/w rdpt fare - will worry about ret flt in a day or so 👍

Compared to your revenue fare that’s a bargain. But 41K KF for a 4hr flight on a 738 recliner is very average value IMHO. But if you’ve got a 20 figure KF balance I guess it’s all relative.
