I have spoken to visa rewards travel agent for RTW ticket for next May/June from SYDNEY to Vancouver to Glasgow then from Paris to Sydney. Quoted me all my points which equate to $2900 plus $1600 cash which seems incredible. I am flexible with travel dates I.e. leave early May 2012, have to be in VAncouver but can do stopover LA first, then need to get from VAncouver to Glasgow after two weeks in Camada and Alaska about three weekscin UK and prob flight out of Paris to Sydney. Think we will need overnight or two in Singapore or similar. I think Star Alliance is what she was quoting. I had similar mismatch with pricing last time I tried to use my points on Rtw. Love some help to use points

Viv29 Welcome to forum
As a comparsion it is worth getting a quote for a paid fare for your route. Even in economy this will be high $$.
Look at www.StarAlliance.com & Oneworld web sites for round the world [RTW] fares & conditions

Welcome to AFF Viv29!

Are you able to transfer those points to an airline FF program?

Westpac Altitude program lets you transfer points to Airline Programs;
