There are two main access and viewpoints for the gorges in Kalbarri NP. I headed into the easternmost one on the way in, before going on to Kalbarri in time for sunset. The next morning it was back into the park to go to the other viewpoints before returning to the coast and making my way south and home.

The Murchison watershed is primarily well inland in arid areas with spasmodic, but sometimes very heavy, rainfall so the river is low most of the time. On the rare occasions that it floods, it makes an incredibly spectacular sight.

The park offers some excellent hiking trails along the river.

And of course, sunset.

Very nicely done JohnM. Those wild flowers are not every year for some varieties but this year the Geraldton region has had great rainfalls that have germinated so many seeds. Your photos show the rugged nature of the coastline past Geraldton which is worth seeing.
By the way we loved Exmouth where you can drift along Turquoise Bay with a diving mask and flippers. It was so much better than Broome for swimming.
