MEL-HBA in J as a WP (QantasLink flight) - wouldn't normally bother with J on short sector, but the end of a ticket from Perth.

No greeting beyond 'hello' on boarding or status recognition at any stage. Offered a pre departure water (only).

This was dinner, after they removed the aluminium covers on the cart, at my seat. Anyone care to guess what it was?

Looks like something recycled from a sewerage farm. Hopefully it tasted better than it looks....

Oh what a fun game. I'll play.

I think that there is a bread roll there that has escaped a Y tray.

The other food is some veg with potato and lasagne?

Fish with coriander and bok choy? At least whatever is in the box is "handmade" :)

Fish. I had it a few weeks ago on SYD-MEL.

It was exceptionally boring, but presented better:

The return flight on VA was *far* superior as much as it disappoints me to say (chicken breast with cashews and rice).

Oh, and in case you can't tell from the photo - both VA and QF use the same (awful) box cakes just with a different sticker on the top.

Looks awful. I suspect you got last night's fish there.

QF Link flights can be very inconsistent with water or juice. more often than not it's a small bottle of water rather than a glass. Pretty woeful for J.

Answer to the quiz.

The white stuff on the right was fish in some sort of tomato based sauce. To its immediate left, looking rather unfortunate is a piece of baked onion. To the left of that, and underneath it could have once been spinach or bok choy.

The whole thing was ghastly and remained untouched by me.
