Hello All,

Just had my first Air NZ fought in a long time CHC to HKK which of course was cancelled due to bad weather and we were thrown in a bus which arrived about 5 hours after the scheduled arrival for the aircraft. Personally, I don't see this as a service substitution and am wondering if I'll be able to get a partial refund for the service? I was on a grabaseat+ bag fare.

Thanks in advance!

The best I suspect you can hope for is ORC.

Do you have travel insurance which might provide some cover/compensation for such a delay?

Have both credit card insurance and travel insurance so I'll guess I'll hit them up when I get back to Australia. They didn't tell me that I could cancel and get a full refund and find my own way. Would have been faster and cheaper to hire a car for the night. I'll get in touch with them anyway and I'll update on here. Joined Airpoints just before I came over so that might help slightly.
