Had a similar experience on one of Delta Airlines famous (infamous?) 757's last November

First flight of the day from JFK to SFO and was mentioned to the wife and myself by the check-in attendant that the flight was unusually lightly loaded

She wasn't wrong.... 8 passengers boarded the plane.

FA's were happy for PAX's to sit anywhere, including BusinessElite (as were no paying or status customers onboard).

Best 757 flight i've ever had.

Best I've had was being the only one in F on MH 747 KUL to JNB one night. Three FAs to look after me..... :D It worked out well, as I suggested they just leave the Chardy bottle with me and and go and relax, I'd shout when I felt like eating....

Many years ago (mid 80s) I was the sole occupant of First Class on an SAS flight (747) from JFK-Stockholm, on an otherwise full plane

Had 2 stewardesses all to myself :p although I probably upset them by not trying any of the entrees - 30 varieties of herring it seemed

Two flights, both way, way back in the 1970s.

The first, c1975, was WGA-MEL with Kendell on what I guess was a Piper Navajo. Anyway, I recall a six seater aircraft with only the pilot and me up front. The memory of landing at Tullamarine on a winter's evening among all those lights remains clear still.

Then I once copped a slow afternoon on a CBR-MEL flight, c1978. ISTR a DC-9 with only one other Y pax on board, very scarce cabin crew and a long, low, slow descent over the Great Dividing Range into MEL. Evidently it wasn't a parliamentary sitting week!

So I am booked in J on MU NKG-PEK Mar 26 dep 17:00 - ask at lounge is flt on time - yes sir - no problem board at 14:30 and I am only pax in J - 8 seats - only I'll ol' me.

Wait 10 mins - FA approaches and says sorry Sir - slight delay before pushing back - ATC will not clear us - how long? - let me ask captain - 1 hr Sir - you are f'ing kidding aren't you - no Sir - 1 hr.

Damn - bring me a red wine pls - 1 hr sitting on MU plane drinking Great Wall Sheep Dip ain't my kinda fun.

But wait - it gets better. We land in PEK and experience one of those fabulous apron deplanings and then hop onto shuttle bus to terminal - but not any shuttle bus - my very own special personal shuttle bus - only J pax so I get small 18 pass shuttle bus all to myself - all plebs down back herded onto 2 big shuttle buses behind us - did I ever feel speeeeecial.

I had that happen in AMM as well - it was lovely. A bus to myself.
