Yes, a handwritten letter around November last year. My thoughts were a response would come with the next release, or would you expect a response on receipt of the letter?
Unless the Wendouree procedure had changed, I would have expected a reply to be received within 3-4 weeks or so from the time you posted the into letter to them.
So it could be 1. The process has changed (personally I think it is unlikely)
2. Your letter hasn't reached them (Maybe Au Post fault or just got lost somehow)
3. Their reply was sent but hasn't reached you (Maybe Au Post fault or gone to the wrong address etc)
Personally I would write again explaining that you wrote in November but didn't hear back from them or maybe even call them explaining your situation?
When I first wrote to them, I have received a hand-written reply in about 2-3 weeks from memory:
"Thank you for your recent letter and for your interest in Wendouree Cellars.
Unfortunately we are unable to deliver hopeful news with regards to the mailing list. Putting your name on the list is the easy part, receiving an allocation is another matter and may test your patience for a few years.
We still have two very small releases ahead of us and beyond that is a bit of a mystery at this stage. We will advise you of the state of affairs in July, upon release of 2019 line up. Thank you again and kind regards."
Later that year (2021) they wrote to me again advising their inability to offer me any and asked to write back to them to advise/confirm if I want to remain on their list which I did. In July 2022 they advised the same but said that they will keep me on the list unless I advise otherwise. In 2023 I have received the order form but failed to receive any wines!
