No FREE internet despite what you might read elsewhere.
No ducted aircond.
Tad noisy.
But if all you want us a place to sleep, where they lock doors a bit past midnight, this is the one.
Not far from bay.
Not more than Nzd200 per night.
Close to day and evening buses.
Opposite Wellington City Council offices and library, so won't get lost.
Has eateries close by and restaurant onsite.
New World supermarket not far away either.
No car park on site though it seems.

last time I stayed in WLG I was at the Leisure Inn which was a Mercure at the time - if you've ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a Fawlty Towers style hotel with original 70s fittings in the common areas/original creaky lift/pokey rooms this is the place!

It didnt even have wifi and the tvs were CRTs, parking was free though fortunately the bathrooms and bedding were updated but I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
