I re-applied via the link provided from the QFF Special Offers page and there is no mention of 12months ineligibility. Kept a snapshot of the T&Cs as evidence

So the Qantas Site T&C was when you applied was not as it now is?:

Cant speak for BLK343 but I definitely have a PDF of the T&C's at the time I applied and this condition is not there. I specifically checked before I applied and it was partially because I was surprised that I PDF'd it.

Anybody got the 80,000 points posted? How long will it post after the spending limit is met? I am at the second statement and have spent well over the limit (got about 6,000 points even though mostly spent on the Visa) but haven't seen the points yet.

I've just had my 2nd statement points post to QFF... but no 80k bonus points noted on the statement or in the QFF posting. Definitely spent above $5k as have paid more than that to the card.

Interested to know how long til they do post. Definitely not disqualified as have never held a Westpac card prior to this.

I've just lodged a complaint, still waiting.

My partner was informed that they are handed out after the 3 month minimum period. Regardless of qualifying spend.

Unfortunate but understandable with people getting the points and probably trying to cancel the card straight away.

Didn't receive bonus point after the 3rd statement. Called them up, and asked to wait 90 days from qualify spend reached, which was last Friday. Didn't receive by Friday and call them again on Mon. Card people didn't know why, but said will ask reward team to call me back. Someone from reward team called back this morning and said the points are allocated, and will show up on the next statement. More waiting.

Wow that's taking the pi$$

I understand making people wait the minimum period but beyond that is a bit extreme.

If they are outside the three months from qualifying spend as stated in the T&C's then hit them up for some more points as compensation. I had great success with NAB when this happened.

Just a data point, I applied 3 months ago, hit the minimum spend a few days later. In that time had to call up to have my annual fee reduced from $395 to $195, and during this call was told I was in fact eligible for the 100k points and would receive them with my third statement (thought at the time this was wrong, but was willing to wait and see what I received). That has come and gone with no bonus (also outside the 12 week period after minimum spend is met that bonus points are supposed to be awarded), I called and they quoted the 12 month exclusion period (I had a card til late last year) as to why I hadn't received them. I told them I had applied through an offer with no exclusion, said I had a pdf of the T&C's (which I do) and even sent them a link to the site which is still up and running. They have gone away and will let me know in the next 3 business days. Will let you know how I get on

Update; received my 80k points after 4 months. Haven't bothered kicking up a stink about this being outside the 3 months, but probably should

Late response to this. The 12months exclusion was not there when I re-applied as the bonus were only set to 80K and 2 days after I applied, it increased to 100K. I also have kept a copy of the T&Cs

Its been four months since l signed up for this card, and easily met the qualifying spend. Kicked up a fuss with Westpac a week ago, and still nothing! GRRR

Escalate things to a manager and their complaints team. They have clearly breached their own T&C's

Just applied for this card. 100K QFF points for $195 is a no brainer. A little worried, though, to read of the delays in receiving bonus points.

anyone know how long it took for your application to be approved so you can use the card? I have some large payments to be made in the next day or two that can eat up a good chunk of the $5K spend requirement so would be interested to know when I can get the card approved in time for the payment.

My application was approved the same day. Don't think I'll see the cards for a week though.

My partners card arrived within 3 business days over here in Perth so you may be surprised.

When she applied for my supplementary card it took about 4 business days from memory as well.

Our 4th statement is due in a few weeks so hopefully, we see the points then.

Hi all - I want to apply for this card BUT I cancelled my last Westpac card on 28/10/16 and end date on this offer is 2 days earlier 26/10/17

With the 12 month exclusion I am wondering if I apply on 26th but don't get approved and activated say 2 weeks later, would I get the bonus offer??

Thanks

I doubt it. They are very strict.

There will probably be another new offer soon I think.
