Yep I did register beforehand.

Oh well, I need to add some segments to a 280k redemption next month so I'll try to trigger the passes then with this card.

Did you end up getting the passes?

I paid for a carbon offset about 3 weeks ago and no sign of passes. Perhaps they've closed the loophole.

Yes

Initially I used the MasterCard to get carbon offsets but after a week no passes arrived. Then I did the same thing again using the Amex card and a week later the passes arrived.

cheers Peter

This card is now $250 for 80K points. I'm out of the exclusion zone and hoping for a good bonus cheap asap. ;)

Also the ANZ offer has an exclusion period which one has to wait out. Of course the ANZ deal is one of the best going if your exclusion period is over.

The Westpac deal is a reasonable offer for those looking to churn.

just had my 3rd statement and no bonus points. I met the spend criteria in month 2. is this common that I'll need to manually chase up?

There's no point in chasing this up until the end of the time period at which the points should have been awarded. Then go for the jugular. Read this thread for how to go about this and what compensation you will likely receive.

Now a $250 annual fee but a required spend of only $3,000 for 80,000 QFF points.

The Platinum with $0 annual free for first year also with a required spend of $3,000 but only 60,000 QFF points looks like a better deal.

Looked into this and yes there is the $50 QANTAS fee. But $50 for 60,000 points is still a very good deal.

And if you take the Amex as well, doesn't that make it 75,000 for $50? I don't think there would be another &50 fee (but haven't checked it myself).
