And if you take the Amex as well, doesn't that make it 75,000 for $50? I don't think there would be another &50 fee (but haven't checked it myself).

An extra 15,000 points for another credit enquiry, not worth it IMO.

How long do the Westpac sign up bonus points tend to take to be credited to the QFF activity statement after the required spend?

well now just over 12 weeks from when I met the spend criteria with nothing. Very frustrating experience dealing with the Westpac credit card team who claim they can't do anything other than transfer me to Qantas. The supervisor CSR cut me off and did a blind transfer which is quite offensive.

Logged a complaint but they say they cannot do anything and I'll need to speak to the Customer Experience Team during the week.

on-going dramas with Westpac...found the time to get through to the Customer Experience Team today who were still not very useful but at least a formal complaint is logged now.

Has anyone got a saved copy of the T&Cs from January? Is the "The bonus Altitude Points or Qantas Points will be added to your points balance within 12 weeks once you meet the eligible spend criteria." still the line to hold? They were denying this was a term today.

case closed hopefully.. got a call from the Customer Experience Team who acknowledged the issue and their mistake. Refunded annual fee without asking and points should come through next cycle. Good enough for me.

I might take one for the team and physically go in to a branch to apply, requesting to only get the MC and not the amex (though I've taken 40k points for a credit check in the past - still debating if worth it...)

I went just the Platinum with 60k points. Still waiting on the 60k points. Hopefully they'll show up in a month or two.

I had a different card with a 15k limit that I was still waiting on the sign-up bonus for so I didn't think it would be a good idea for me to apply for the Black then. Also I made a purchase that got me most of the required spend. That purchase would cost me $100s of dollars extra if I were to buy it now.

I get frustrated when better offers come out after I've applied. NAB came out with a 115k point offer after I'd got the 100k point offer. These things happen. Not much value in looking back at these things except perhaps to try to hopefully have a better idea next time as to what's a good deal.

I have limited cards that I can apply for at the moment as I'm still within the exclusion period for most of the good deals.

I've just got 90K from my St George card, so will be cancelling that shortly.

I'm up in the air whether I want the extra credit hit for a measly 40K points, I might wait right up until mid September just before this offer expires and see what (if any) Qantas Money CC's offers are updated - word on the street is that they are looking to release a Black card.

Personally I don't think I'd want the two hits, but I already had a QANTAS Amex Ultimate so I didn't want to risk an extra credit hit for no extra points anyway.

I'd be interested in a QANTAS Money Black card provided I'm happy with the sign up bonus requirements. I haven't had a QANTAS Money card yet.

I have asked 3 different people via online chat and FB about paying govt charges to get the sign on bonus, understanding it's not on general spending. Have 3 different answers, 2 of them say 'yes' will be Ok and so have taken screen shots.

What's the difference between the two that said Yes?

One said points would be not earned on govt spend although count toward the $3K bonus. One said the same thing and added except if via bpay.

Online chat operator just confirmed the annual fee waiver is only available with the bundle.
