Card Offers Westpac Altitude Black offers: 120,000 Qantas or Velocity Points (expires 30/4/25)

Real nice deal. I will apply for just the mastercard. I have to check but my 12 month exclusion comes up in August or September so that's good timing.

Edit: are they offering a VA/KF points version?

Yes. But isn`t the QFF option better value?

Geeze. Tough crowd today. I almost feel ashamed now at only posting a 120K of points deal for $0 fees. o_O.

Well I appreciated it lovetravellingoz, applied last night after seeing your post and conditionally approved subject to proof of income being supplied which I uploaded to them this morning

Did recently sign up for a new AMEX so may not receive those points but happy with the 80K and no annual fee for first year

Believe having an existing Amex does not preclude you from bonus Amex points

Conversely.

Would having this Amex Card preclude you from getting future Amex bonuses?

I assume that applying for this card will stuff up the 18 month exclusion period on regular AMEX cards.

Not that I’d take it for granted but Points Hack states that the joint Westpac-Amex issued cards don’t impact the other AMEX cards
Westpac Altitude Platinum credit card guide - Point Hacks

This is a bit technical but American Express is now issuing cards for Westpac directly, instead of being issued by Westpac (as previously used to be the case). However, for bonus points eligibility, this card is considered to be a bank-issued card, so won’t affect your eligibility for bonus points on American Express-issued cards

Note: they state the same thing against platinum and Black cards.

Sorry I must not have been making myself clear.

I'm after a link for a fee free altitude black with bonus altitude points, not qantas points.

The links that have been provided are for qantas points.
You select the rewards program while applying.

dont like two credit enquires at the same time.. worse than having 2 in 3 months for example.. will potentially see a massive drop in your credit score

The first post seems to indicate you can get the VISA on its own, without a fee for the first year I presume? I can't find a link to a fee free 80k points VISA. Is this correct?

Don't know about that, have successfully applied for 4 cards since March and my score has gone back from Good to Excellent

Have applied and been approved after sending in payslips. Will see what it does to my credit scores - current scores are;
GetCreditScore - 778
Credit Savvy - 783

I believe there is a distinction between Bank Issued Amex and Amex issued Amex. If you are currently serving your 18 months exclusion on an Amex issued Amex then a Bank Issued Amex shouldn't impact it (even though both Amexs are serviced from the same Amex Portal). That how its been in the past..

I'm not confident that this is the case.
