Westpac Earth Cards Discontinued

I believe the point capping is 2,500 per month plus QF bonus.

Are the earn rates for QF any better then Earth card?

I have the Earth Black and can find no reference (either online or in my statements) to capping or reduction in points earned. Does this only affect other Earth products? Highest Earn Rate - Earth - Westpac

I think the black products are still all ok (except for ato payments).

I noticed this on my Earth Black statement that issued today:

"Effective 27th February 2015, transactions made using Westpac American Express companion card that are in Australian dollars and the merchant or financial institution is located overseas will not incur a foreign transaction fee."

This is good news. I have a number of suppliers who process AUD credit cards offshore and you get stung by the foreign transaction fee.

My Earth Black cards expire at the end of October, and I have just received replacement Earth Black cards. They are valid until 10/2018.

I have an ok deal ($75 yearly fee), and don't see any need to swap to another card type.

This would have been the various upgrades and incarnations of the card over time, from the original earth platinum to platinum plus and now black. I think mine is $175, but as I've got a package with Westpac the annual fee is waived anyway.

Thanks for the info. We have a reduced rate of $250.
Not sure whether we will renew.
