Westpac Krisflyer extended warranty

Hey all

I have purchased a camera with my krisflyer card.

Two questions
- has anyone ever tried to claim the extended warranty part of the platinum card?
- what happens if you cancel the card. I purchased the camera in December 2011 and cancelled the card in August 2012. Is the insurance still valid?

If you cancel the card there is no indication the extended warranty insurance benefit will lapse.

However, there maybe something i have missed.

A few days ago I rang Zurich (who provide the insurance) and they confirmed if you have a printed copy of the relivant statement & the original receipt, your current status with westpac is no concern to them.

This is great news considering my Canon S100 has been repaired twice.
