One more question if I may.... is a Paypal transaction counted as a transaction inside or outside of Australia? If you use Visa for outside you get 1.5 vs Amex 1.25. Since when it got so tricky?

It depends on currency charged to your PayPal account. I have some in AUD and some in other currencies for online purchase from overseas. However, when paying by PayPal, you can choose to pay in AUD if you want.

You can pay in AUD but I for one would certainly advise against it. The card companies Forex rates are better than PayPals!

Interestingly I am very happy with the Westpac credit card limits. This card works great for us.

This card remains the best way to earn KF miles in AU.


Now, whilst it is no longer marketed, I notice that the phone menu still has an option for "applications" even though the card is no longer marketed for new customers.
