It's like banging your head against a brick wall!

First they wanted to know where I'd heard about this bonus point promotion, then asked if I had registered my QFF number before or after the transactions. Then tried to palm me off to QF again. Then finally conceded that they have an ongoing problem and are applying the bonus manually, that they've put a note of my file, and I should have the points in 7 weeks max. Won't be holding my breath

I received a new statement yesterday, and THE BONUS POINTS WERE AUTOMATICALLY AWARDED FOR MY QF TRANSACTIONS THIS MONTH!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I even audited the points - I'd only spent on the Amex, so it was simpler to match their calculation:

Total Amex spend inc cents and QF spend = x
Total QF spend inc cents (for bonus points) = y
Total points awarded = z, as follows:

x * 1.5 + y = z (with the decimal places removed... matches the statement total exactly - it even shows "WESTPAC EARTH QANTAS BONUS on QF)! :D

The problem is that they've only awarded the bonus points for the QF transactions on the new statement, and have not gone back to award the missing points from the last few months. Looks like one more email and this *should* all be behind us!

Took them long enough...

That's good to hear; I spent some time on the phone this am chasing up missing QF bonus points from my last statement

Well I got a call yesterday telling me they are looking at it and that she will post the points soon even though the matter is not yet resolved. Says it is a well known and ongoing issue they are looking to fix it. Says she will provide feedback to the customer service reps I spoke to.

Here's hoping it is resolved soon.

And they posted today. Took a very long time but glad they are finally here. Now to audit this months statement.

Very jealous. Apparently I need to wait 7 weeks to see if mine appear. They wanted to know where I'd heard of this "promotion" for extra points on QF transactions!

What Number are you guys calling I have just spent the last hour on the phone and got put through to 6 different people who could not help me.

Things seem to have normalised for me this month. Both my normal and Qantas-purchase bonus points have been credited to my Qantas account.

When I had to chase the points manually, I was calling the Westpac Platinum number listed on the back of my card. It always took some time convincing what the issue was, and each time they tried to fob me off to QFF. Those times, someone eventually agreed to manually credit the bonus points. I eventually lodged a complaint, and someone in Customer Service has been in contact admitting that it is now a known problem, they are working to fix it (and this must be complete now) and they will be back-processing bonus points. I asked the person I was in contact with what advice I could offer to others in this situation and their advice was to wait patiently for the back-process to be complete (this was last month). I'd be happy to pass on people's contact details to my contact if you want to PM them to me, though I can't promise they will do anything about it either.

Without sending yet another email (as my emails requesting a manual points credit have been going unresponded), I noticed today that a retrospective credit has appeared on my QFF account ("WESTPAC EARTH QANTAS BONUS" which makes it seem automatic, as opposed to just "WESTPAC EARTH" which was the description of my last manual QF credit). I haven't had the chance yet to audit the number, but it *seems* correct. This also isn't in line with my statement date, so perhaps you should all check your QFF activity and hope for the best! :)

Thank you for the heads up. I just checked my account and found my missing bonus points.

I had a call from a nice westpac lady last week to say they were fixing it with special one off points credits. Also note that the bonus points posted correctly with my latest statement. So looking good moving forward. All fixed just in time to cut up the card.

And mine came through yesterday.

Too little too late.

Too little too late.

I received mine as well... with a 2 month delay, after several unanswered emails and several calls direct to their customer complaints department.
No apology or a nice gesture. I'm glad they rectified it but it left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth...

I have just swung over to Earth Black - ie Unlimited Points - So they promise 1.5 points per dollar spent on AMEX. yeah??? But with the dealer charging 1.3% loading for AMEX I purchased new car precharging with cash. Looked forward to seeing at least 90,000 points at statement alas all I got was 61,000 ie 1 point per $. So I will have to wait a while to seee other TX go through before arcking down. But the whole points things seem very dishonorable. Westpac have not the systems to manage points (unlikely) or they deliberately post lower points...
