Westpac Singapore KrisFlyer Credit Card

Received letter from westpac a couple of days confirming from 4th of April can no longer use the amex card, no changes to visa. That's definitely the nail in the coffin for this card.
I wonder how long the visa card will remain?

I called them up and the fee is the same. Simply not worth paying $250 for a year with that kind of point earn.

I am switching to the American Explorer Card. 100,000 bonus reward points. $400 annual fee but you get it back in travel credit. One of the highest point earns with Singapore Airline around. No max cap earn. Only down side is just 0.5 reward point for ATO.

Anyone else having issue with Kris flyer points auto sweeping to Kris Flyer a/c.....
Westpac statement 14/2/18 showing 41k miles earned...nothing sent to KF a/c....10 phone calls made over 3 weeks to every WBC dept imaginable......no clue or idea...... Singapore can't do anything until Westpac advise of miles earned..... Next statement due tomorrow and wondering if the next 50k will be credited 'on time' ????
Any thoughts would be appreciated....

Is anyone having trouble using the AMEX to pay our fiscal friend this morning? The website keeps coming up as transaction declined please contact your financial institution. My card expires 3/18

I have contacted Westpac (without specifying our fiscal friend) and said that I have tried to make an online payment with the card but it keeps getting rejected. Westpac cannot see any rejected transactions at their end.

Do you think it could be a (hopefully temporary) issue with the ATO website? I have also tried unsuccessfully to pay via the Mygov website. A small transaction on a VISA card to the ATO website went through with no problem

I think I will put some more tax prepayments through prior to the end of this card. I know we will have a 2017 tax bills in May due to an unfranked dividend received last year.

I don't know if the Krisflyer Visa is that useful. Overseas purchases earn well, but with local spending, there are other cards which can indirectly earn at a better rate.

I don't think anyone actually uses the Visa, most people will be cancelling this card early next month.

Just put last of ATO onto this card....it's all a bit sad really...

Like saying goodbye to loyal and trusted employee.... Thank you for the good times, we're going to miss you and and wish( us) well for the future...

Well, the Visa does get you 1.5 points / $ for overseas purchase. But without Amex it doesn't stack up. I will be calling them at the end of June before my annual fee date to negotiate waiving of the fee, anything short of that it's good bye for me. Sad.

I am still thinking about paying a bit more to the fiscal fiend using our two CCs that finish in about 3 days.
