I'd always take this approach (if you want it, book it) because even if you're guaranteed an upgrade, if they don't have any other cars, you're never going to get it. I've had that happen at LHR many times.Cool, thanks! In future I'll know that if I want it then I need to book it. Having only needed small cars before (no kids) I was always getting upgrades I didn't realise what the order was or where it capped.
My Kluger should be sufficient anyway, assuming no issues.
A hybrid would be much cheaper to run too, wouldn't it? I had a Mitsi Outlander PHEV thing a few years ago in Adelaide. I drove around town for a few days and the fuel gauge didn't budge, which was great as I didn't have to bother with refueling. So my hybrid kluger was “upgraded” to a ford Everest, some sort of battle tank in a past life, I assume.
Not sure that’s a real upgrade but it’s doing the job.
80% for Hertz, not sure on others.A hybrid would be much cheaper to run too, wouldn't it? I had a Mitsi Outlander PHEV thing a few years ago in Adelaide. I drove around town for a few days and the fuel gauge didn't budge, which was great as I didn't have to bother with refueling.
Just on the refueling (but OT here sorry): What's the go with renting electric cars? Do you have to return it with some measure of battery power remaining? If so, I'd imagine one must know where to do that and allocate time accordingly prior to returning the car.
