The only ones I could quickly find are these, will have a better look later.

Air NSW were painted bright yellow, hence nickname of canaries.

The inside of your tickets reminded me of the 'old days' when the airlines had their own buses to get you from the centre of town out to the airport. I used to catch the Ansett bus from the city on a regular basis. Although when I was working in Kununurra in the 80's, the Airlines of WA bus had a bad habit of breaking down on its way out to the airport.

Also, just for fun, I converted the 1986 price for the Canberra-Brisbane return airfare. $236 in 1986 = $650 in 2021. Which isn't too much different to now, where its about $250 each way on Qantas or $180 each way in Virgin (when they're flying).

SWMBO likes to collect christmas tree ornaments, I'm a little different, I try to get used number plates from places visited.

My favourite is this one that I got in Damascus in 2010, it dates from the thirties when Lebanon and Syria were a French Protectorate, There are only 2 known examples although the other one owned by musician Jimmy Fox (aka The James Gang) is black on white.

licence plates are a great thing to collect. In the USA I have seen a few tourist shops selling used plates from various states. There a fairly sizeable online licence plate community. I have a few from the States, Israel and other parts of Europe.

I seem to collect transport cards. Just checked my collection and I’ve got Amsterdam, London, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Montreal, Seattle, Beijing, San Francisco, Vancouver, Shanghai, New York, Washington. Also local cards for Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide.

I know you can often return the card for a refund, but I like to keep them as a momento and an incentive to return.

I have a few of those never want to just throw them out

I'm a collector, I don't do minimalism. So shopping is a big part of every trip for me.

Every time I go to New Zealand I seem to manage to buy a Buzzy Bee. I think I now have 6 or 7. (No I can't explain it either. They are sitting nice and bright and shinny in the shop at AKL or CHC and I have cash left so I have to have another one)

If I go to Germany I always buy a Steiff bear (but I collect those anyway)

My favourite souvenir is a door knob from the Plaza Hotel in New York. No I didn't take a screwdriver on holiday with me. After the refurbishment the new owners sold of a lot of the original fixtures and fittings. The door knobs from I think the 1920's were sold at auction and a few were sold in the hotels gift shop.

I had a chat with my wife and she thinks that they are holding up pretty well. I have to admit that we got ours from the 'Seconds Shop" at the factory. Nothing wrong with them just unpopular or superseded styles as far as I could see.

Yellow Tag with "Hand Made" printed on it = Made in Tunisia for Steiff and a regular edition.
Yellow Tag with "Hand Made in Germany" printed on it = What it says basically a regular edition made in Germany.
White Tag with "Hand Made in Germany" printed in red is a limited edition usually not suitable for kids. More of a collectors item.

Re Steiff bears - as an avid fan of Antiques Roadshow (do.not.judge.me) - I think I’ve seen quite a few of this brand of bear (really old ones) that have been valued at eye-watering prices. Are these the same maker? (Albeit less eye watering$$)

I'm not generally one to collect souvenirs, though you never know what you'll find hidden at the back of drawers, and in filing cabinets.

This is a genuine US plate that I was sent by a friend in Florida. I think she actually had to register a non existent trailer to get it. Pity I can't use it.

They are indeed. It's also a fallacy that all Stieff bears have a stud in the ear. The quality varies enormously

As GPS said they are from the same maker. The Steiff Museum in Giengen has an 'all singing all dancing' display tracing the history of the brand spread over several stories. All in German.

Ours do have the ear tag but they were not at all expensive.

From memory I purchased it in a toy/ teddy bear shop that was in the lower levels of what was (maybe still is) the Orchard Hotel in Dec 06, I think I paid around SGD60-70. It was never intended to be an investment rather just to be a bear in our soon to be be daughters bedroom. 14 years on it has not been played with, the 'growler' works and I am pretty sure we may still have the original box somewhere and it is around 24"-26" in length.

There is also a very good book about her incredible life.. losing husband and taking over the wine businesss hence the name Veuve(widow). ….she also invented parts of the bubbling process… real trailblazer and boy could she network. Love the story about Napoleon putting a huge tariff on her wines; so she put her contacts to work in Russia and when they beat Napoleon they paid a fortune to buy her champagne!!!

I bought that book a couple of years ago at Vinnies, really interesting and Barbe-Nicole seemed like a real pocket dynamo!
Intended using it as a reference during planned champagne region tour following Canal du Midi in June 2020. Still hope to get there someday, somehow...
