I recently read Schapelle Corby's book. It was interesting - I vaguely recall all the news about it back in the 2000s. Currently reading a book I remember liking a lot as a kid called Pagan's Crusade, a medieval historical fiction, but struggling to get into it. Maybe because I'm not a kid anymore...

I am currently listening to an audio book - Chemical Hearts - but not through Audible. I use BorrowBox through my local library so it's free. I don't listen to audio books a lot, my mind wanders if I'm not actively listening, so I save them for car rides, bus trips, that kind of thing.

But as for physical book reading, I'm reading Headcase by Jack Heath. It's the fourth book in a series (possibly the last book too) and the main character is a cannibal who consults to the FBI. Crime thriller fiction I guess you could say.

Travel related book - I’m currently reading ‘Paris and other Disappointments’ by Adam Rozenbachs. A light, funny read about father and son travelling to Europe together. I think the characters are a little close to home which makes it an enjoyable read.

I finished my crime thriller and am picking back up a book I had to put aside for my book award panel reading thing I did last year. It's in a series called The Others by Anne Bishop. Urban fantasy set in alternate Earth - werewolves, vampires, etc. Bit of fun.

Reading ... off and on, to be honest ... "Magnificent Obsession. The story of the Mitchell Library, Sydney" by BH Fletcher. Includes the story of David Scott Mitchell, whose collections form the core of the library in which I've spent many hours immersed in.

Have just started "On the Curry Trail: Chasing the Flavor That Seduced the World" by Raghavan Iyer. It's a great pity that he has passed away. It's a great cookbook as well as story of how flavours spread around the world. And yes, there's one recipe from Australia.

I think if I were reading that, it would make me hungry. Haha.

I haven't been reading too much lately, still on the same book I mentioned in my last post.

Not reading much apart from online, but very surprised as to the number of book shops within a 5 minute walk of our hotel in Zagreb. Over a dozen, plus it is good to see many people sitting and reading hardcopy in parks and cafes.

One book I do intend reading when home is Growing Grapes Might Be Fun….. by Deirdre Macken.
If it’s all like the extract I read recently, it should be a good fun read.

Does anyone else buy a favourite book of theirs in other languages when they visit other countries? I do that with Harry Potter books. :)

Read all the Davinci code books in Italian! Plus Name of the Rode by Umberto Ecco and others. One needs to read local authors in original languages.

Easy for you to say! I have enough trouble with one language.
