What cheeses me off

A register can be instructed to hold that total and start another customer instead of waiting for the return of the unthinking customer.
But is the register operator proficient in doing that

…Australia being flogged in the first test in India and the inevitable ‘we need to do better’, ‘we need to adapt faster’ lines from the team and management.

Yet, these were the players and this was the management that accepted those players spending right up to the last moment before the tour playing pointless bash cricket back in Australia.
How about, if this is such an important tour to India, that the players and management actually treat it as such. How about arriving in India more than a few days beforehand? How about playing two full warm up games beforehand to get properly acclimatised to the pitches and the million overs of spin that the Indians will be bowling?

Stop paying lip service to what you claim is still the pinnacle of competitive cricket!

I'd really just like it if they focussed on their main game, playing cricket for Australia. That's it. That's all I ask. I think the fact that channel 7 were suing CA for the poor cricket T20 of last year that playing the test cricketers in their teams up until departure day was the suck up.

Slightly off topic, why is it that when other countries visit Australia we try to provide decent pitches. Whenever anyone else visits the the sub continent they doctor pitches to suit their spin strength.
If I remember correctly, India wouldn’t agree to play a test in Perth during their last visits as they knew it would favour the Australian fast bowlers.
Now it looks like the one pitch that may help the Australian quicks will be changed, no surprise there.
Last time India visited here, I thought they might face some green tops, didn’t happen, and it won’t happen in the future either, imo.
As for the incident involving the alleged numbing cream for their top bowler’s hand, what a crock, imagine the furore if it had been an Australian bowler.
Admittedly, Australia made some major mistakes, not picking Travis Head for one and they didn’t put up any fight in the second innings, I expected more.
Sour grapes? Maybe, but imo there is no denying the power that the Indian board has over the ICC.
A simple search shows up many articles about this.

Did overseas team call the old WACA a doctored pitch? Both teams get to bat twice after the toss. Can’t blame the pitch this time. Agree on the cream and BCCI control though.

No, but the old WACA has always favoured fast/swing bowlers. This pitch was a shocker, as are most in India.

Given MCG. WA in recent times I can't say we produce the best pitches. Travisty.

The key point is, this was all known. Even the curator talked before the game about the process of selective watering to make the areas on and around a left handers off stump drier. Australia absolutely knew that, hence why they picked mediocre right handers Renshaw and Handscomb ahead of Head.

What Australia needed and needs to do is to get match practice in before the start of the series. (not face their own spinners just in the nets)

Stupid own goal from Cricket Australia and it cheeses me off.

We've been involved in the Dubai Cricket Association and think it's a satellite for ICC. Anyway, they produce cricket grounds that have different pitches based on the known patterns of the different countries around the world.

Why cant banks tell you the reason why you get rejected when applying for credit card???
I got rejected now by Westpac (first ANZ), despite me on high income, no debts, payed everything on time, own home outright...
In my rejection letter, it states they use credit reporting bodies - so i grabbed my credit history, and its in the excellent range. No problem what so-ever.
Ill see if I can call them directly to get an answer. Frustrating

Renewing my car insurance plus wanted to change my contact phone number.. Logged into my Suncorp account. it asked for my policy number. put that in and it says we have sent a code to previous number. no way to get a different way of sending the code,
Go to Their contact page. Asked what is about. Then when you click up comes the same message about the code sent to old phone number. And no where on the pages is an email address or phone number.

Realised the phone number was probably on the renewal email so gave them a call. I congratulated the agent on being the one who had to deal with me and gave her what had happened online. She was brilliant sorted it all quickly and got my premium reduced by nearly $400.

So what steps did they do to authenticate you as real not a scammer who wanted to change your phone no?
