I found a tv show called Airline Wars - it's reality tv made up of YouTube videos of people behaving badly on planes and airports. It's truly awful American trash with a dramatic voiceover where they rewind and pause the videos. WCMO is that i can't stop watching all 5 of the episodes I found

Well done buying a soundbar. Makes all the difference, esp. in our sunroom where the TV is 6m away. We could never hear properly, all solved now with Yamaha soundbar.

It didn't come with free delivery and installation? When I bought my TV and soundbar (Samsung) Bing Lee delivered, set it up (including programming the sound bar to synch with turning on the TV), connecting to router and showing me how to use them.

Only thing I needed to do was connect the fetch box and chrome (which I got a few days later).

The size of the controls of tvs these days, and the complexities of them is crazy. Tiny. Have had ours 18 months and we still flap around with it. The sound bar wasn't too bad as it just plugs into the optical port. But of course, another controller.

And the sound bar controller looks exactly the same as the main one, just a bit smaller.

Well, the apps don't appear to be either installable or updateable. And needless to say the LG 'support' web page is worse than useless "Too many requests" for any page.

Sigh.

Today WCMO was dogs and children. We went out to lunch today at one of the local craft breweries. They allow pets. Two dogs were no problem. Owners told them to sit and they obeyed and then appeared to sleep. then a couple with and infant and another on the way arived with a little dog. It wouldn't stop barking. Told by staff to put the dog in the car if they wanted to stay. They left.

Then 2 mothers with young children the kids were running everywhere and screaming. The mother's eyes never left their phones. I did suggest that they give the same advice as for the dog owner. Sadly could not be done.

Greed, another example after the recent anaesthetist issue, I tried to book Singapore to Krabi on Jstar, go to Singapore site, all good, $330 all up for 2, top fare. As I’m paying in Australian dollars, there will be a surcharge, their conversion rate is $430, including commission of over 6%. It really should be about $380 Aus.

So using a vpn for the Singapore site it can be had for the Singapore $ price, but when you go to pay, the site will not accept Australian credit cards without a hefty service fee.

Still comes in a bit cheaper than the Aus conversion, but not happy Jan.

DCC is such a scam, and the way Jetstar handle this is disingenuous. The trick is to leave the selector as SGD (or JPY for Jetstar Japan):



And then when you put an Australian credit card in it will show you a prompt like this where you can charge the amount in SGD:

Received confirmation of rental with time for handover of keys. Email mentions only my name even though both parties on lease. Bond and two weeks rental duly paid and confirmed. Hand over in two days time. Comes to handover time. MrP in business meeting on other side of town, that’s fine it’s only me collecting keys. Then an hour ago the Showing Agent texts MrP. He has to be there. He simply can’t. Why didn’t they tell him at the start and we could have arranged. Their excuse - we didn’t have his contact details. But they just texted him.
Slight panic on our side.

So he can docusign. Fine. So we had to send the PM an email with his email address. Did so. No document arrives. Ring again.. We’d sent it as a reply to the congratulations - come in and sign email. Oh. We have two email addresses. Pm1@. And pm2@ We’d sent it to the wrong one. Sigh. Window for signing closing. And now MrP is in another meeting.

We bought and sold and settled two properties through Internet signing. It can be done. Just not today it seems.

Agree - love docusign - bought/sold 3 properties last three years and always docusigned. So much easier. Pity when people make a straight line crooked..

WCMO is schedule changes, was bad enough that to get a day flight HND-SYD it was departing at 8am, well QF just changed schedule and now departs at 6:40am so so annoying but no other day options. I cant do an overnight flight in whY.
