What cheeses me off

As stated by @love_the_life i agree these behaviours are extremely unpleasant. If that's all you'd stated then pretty sure all would agree.
I'm not sure what you think I'd stated but that was pretty much what I meant. There are more examples. Some simple, some complex.

I've been to Thailand and Pattaya in particular more than most people. I've come across lots of people but the past 2-3 years has been the worst and getting worse each time. If these people have travelled before they sure don't show it.

Their behaviour can affect a holiday. It's not a pleasant experience. I lose my patience and cool very quickly. Yes this is not a good thing. I don't feel comfortable eating breakfast that I paid and seeing people touch food with their hands and not just once. Over and over.

June last year was great. Hardly anyone there and the Golf bar with more than enough patrons to make interesting golf days.

Can't wait when I can start holidaying February (birthday), June low season and October each year.

Maybe you need to avoid buffet breakfasts and go a la carte.
Thats travel - its a caveat emptor - we don't get to make the rules
I agree the behavior is bad …..but most places change over time , have times that are busier…

Price matching. Or failure to reward loyalty.
I have to buy a special hills science diet food for cat otherwise he gets sick. I’ve been buying it at same PetBarn for years and am a member.

Today I paid $54 for 1.6 kilos which I commented was a steep increase of $10. So the person serving me said I should check on 99petfood and they will price match. They would not price match as she’d just scanned the goods. Can’t be that much different can it? Ah should have stopped the transaction. It’s $20 cheaper. 😱😡😡😡

@admin - Thankyou for fixing my banner too!

Have a lot to learn.

Growing grass should be easy right? This is paspalum. I spent all of $2.30 to test some out. The pieces they sell are stored/ folded into 3 pieces/squares. The top one is green and the other 2 are not so green.

The photo is after 2 weeks. The green grass still green but the rest just has not settled. Now 1 week later and I'm told still the same. It needs lots of water and we've been giving it lots of water.

They'll come out and plant the grass for ~$3.50/m². Our property is ~1290m². I think we'll need ~600m²-750m² grass. That's not cheap for what I'm trying to achieve. The dirt alone to level up the land is going to be an extra $1000.

I'd want to make sure that I don't throw the money away. The local Thai/SE Asian grass is awful. I was thinking Bermuda/couch or Zoysia could be a better option but may not be easy to get there and possibly expensive. Another option is Kikuyu grass. That's more resilient.

This is not something they do in the village. Most yards are rough. I may need to look around for the various options but this wish could be a tough one to maintain.

WCMO today. Yesterday arvo we had a huge thunderclap overhead and the NBN went out and is still out today. Aussie App telling me they expect it will be back on by 1630. I am not hopeful. Using my mobile as a hotspot is only just working and my ability to access the world wide interweb is greatly diminished.

Edit: Made me a doubter. NBN back on 30 minutes early.

We were out for about seven hours yesterday. Grateful I had books downloaded. Also grateful it was restored quicker than the estimate

From my Aust experiences, paspalum wouldn't be something I would be trying to grow. Seek local advice & do it once & do it well

This is really not fun. Sometimes I don't know why I bother.

BP promotion for 10x points. Go out of my way to BP.

Fill up, scan BP rewards card, pay but card declined, use another card and payment goes through. Check receipt and no BP rewards points.

Ask staff what's wrong? Your card was declined so BP rewards declined as well.

Oh FFS you knew this, you saw me scan BP rewards card and you didn't ask me to scan BP rewards again? Why are these business so awful? Do these points come out of their profit?

Now I need to waste time trying to get 430 points.

Or write it off to experience and not waste your time anymore and know for next time? Not like it's costing you money.
