What cheeses me off

Just this second hung up from the endodontist receptionist who tells me the cost of a consult is $495!!! I've been waiting since early December to get in to see this fella as I have a root canal issue with pain and ear-ache. If he finds anything then I have to come back another day for treatment!
Tuesday, MrsTMA pad $450 for consult then recommended 2 visits at $1400-$1700 EACH to do root canal.

Some medico's know how to charge. Back in 2019 I went to see an "allergist" to find out why I regularly have a blocked nose.

Several scratches on the arm on the arm by a junior nurse and $440 later resulted in " who knows" could be pollen or something.

Lazy medical centres that don't send your vaccinations through to MyGov.

Just popped into My Gov only to find last years FluVax which was administered at the medical centre at work was never updated to My Gov, so it inaccurately looks like havent had flushot since 2023.

Also all my travel vaccinations are missing, my understanding was that even if opted out of sharing medical history that vaccinations would be uploaded - certainly all my covid shots and flux vaxes from 2020-2023 are there.

Need to check what boosters I need before going to South Korea, pretty sure Im due for a rabies booster. The travel clinic closed during covid so its been an effort to find out where my medical records ended up. I have the yellow vaccination card with yellow fever and most other boosters on it, but hard to read or verify booster needs based on that.

So many things today

Qatar says if you buy wifi before you go it's cheaper - finally gave up even looking for it on the website.

Yeah, that's it, but now you have shocked me as no doubt this is what I will be looking at. Of-course being a dentist category there will be preachious little claimable.

A quick Google search found this. Is it cheaper? I can’t check without a booking.

It could be Starlink (as I think you know, VPS), so worth shelling out for. But check that its not free, with Starlink (enabling being rolled out)

.... and what's the need to go to an endodontist? Years ago my old dentist attended the root canal himself!
Do dentists and associated guys look after each other?

And another WCMO - forgot to check the pockets of my black trousers that I just washed - SIGH - little white flecks of tissue everywhere

A decent dentist should be able to do a root themselves. Referrals generally only needed for things like surgical implants to replace a lost tooth.

Root canal comes under major dental on health insurance so different limit to general dental, from memory my insurance covered about 80% of the cost for the one and only root canal I've had.

I do have a booking so i tried it. But then it insisted I login as well and it just took me to my booking and there no mention of how to purchase wifi access.

So I went to the ET Starlink article on wi fi and it says 'The Oneworld member aims to have a dozen 777s kitted out by the end of this year, and its entire 777 fleet upgraded within 12 months; Qatar’s Airbus A350 fleet will follow, with work starting in mid-2025.' Im flying in May on A350 and A380, so i guess thats why, for me at least.

It has WiFi pretty much fleet wide. Are you referring instead to the Starlink rollout?
