As an Android-phile I haven't come against that problem, when adding people into an existing call, or using apps like WhatsApp - they don't seem to care what phone the other end are using.

Oh Android users have to use 3rd party Apps for effective comms - then 3 x Double WCMO is Android phones

Never have or will use WhateverApp - iOS iMessaging or WeChat more than suffices for for me until bloody Android users want to be included

I am android user and I can use the normal phone to have multiple people in the same call no matter what operating system. I have used it with Apple, android, oxygen users.
Same for group messaging.

I think iphone doesn’t like if non Apple platforms.

OP was referring to texting ie iMessage. Non Apple user break the circle and are damned for eternity.

Same for group messaging.

Yes when I said group messaging it means texting to all members on group.
This is without 3rd party apps.

If iPhone users want to do the same they might need to adjust their settings to allow it.
Not just default iMessage which will not send to non iPhone users.

Settings:Apps:Messages: toggle iMessage off to force text messaging. That should do what you want.

But not very useful OS. A outbound text will trigger roaming charges (as applicable). iMessage happily uses wifi or your eSIM data.

That’s the great thing about standards, there’s so many to choose from.

Ah nah - never going to happen - I can do without communicating with Android phones but cannot do without iMessaging

Simple solution is just ignore Android users full stop - it will only take me a few weeks to weed them out and delete from Contacts

Exactly this, built in 'Messages' on Android phones, uses RCS and happily does group chat etc. Likely different versions of RCS though, as QS noted.

Could be viewed that way - UNLESS - you are doing business with Chinese and then it is ABSOLUTELY COMPULSORY PRIMARY App you cannot attempt to live without. Unless you are in that space it won’t make sense
