What cheeses me off

Went to local early voting place today. Was minimal queue and quite quick moving
Have to say it was mainly people who appear to be elderly , infirmed or those helping infirmed
Saw a couple tradies which also made sense as they would need to vote when they are close by

WCMO. I secured two bulk heads for Mr Denali and myself but side seat is still the stupid angle flat seat and Mr Denali has the nicer, more
legroom, bulk seat. Hoping he'll swapped on our next leg 😉

Ummm what cheeses me off is when someone (me) tries for about five mins to change the vacuum brush very well stuck in and can't, then takes it to a husband who very kindly reminded me there is a button to push to release .
Flipping heck
MrsP had the exact same issue only last week.

WCMO:

I do feel the world is more polarised and I encounter more incivility than in the past in day to day interactions - but I don’t want to go back to living in the 70’s.
Agreed

I think whilst there’s always been a political/power related motivation to polarisation (“divide and conquer”) I don’t think we’ve ever seen such a strong commercial incentive (here’s looking at you X and Facebook) to drive polarisation like there is now.

Only last week I noticed a post on my Facebook feed promoting how wonderful white folk are and that I shouldn’t feel ashamed to want to live exclusively amongst my own people (algorithm got the wrong person this time, Caucasian Aussie living in the little India part of Singapore 🤣🤣).

But I wonder if the algorithm was listening in on my conversation about 10 hours earlier when I was at dinner with 2 Singaporean and 1 Malaysian colleague discussing race in relation to Singapore politics, and the upcoming election (which coincidentally is on the same day as our election - May 3).
