Iceman,

Question - are the computers switched off on the weekends ? (hence, no updates, until maybe Monday 9am ?)

Not sure about that one. As I mentioned somewhere else, I've only had this problem once and then it was a simple email to Qantas with ALL the details and it was fixed within about 24 hours. They even got back to me to confirm that all was OK. :D :D :D

Actually Gordon, I quite like Biscuits Brown with Menus ABCD

Biscuits brown just keep you regular, and make it easier to bag and bury. :)

Ronnie RAAF airlines are great if you want to travel uncomfortably, noisily, slowly and at times that suit someone else :!: I think I'll stick to QF these days

Back to the topic ----- The QF web site now lists what all the categories of fares mean, their limitations and the FF status associated with them. A huge improvement from the previous web pages. :D

Anyhow folks back to my original post, locked in flying 'B' Class to NY and back, which according to the other posts is now classified as a 'Fully Flexible' flight - a nice 240 SCs which hits my target for Gold

(interestingly better SCs/$ in B class than J class for the deal my company has - the J class fare was 130% more than the B Class)

s***t i'm stuffed

Qantas site
* For domestic flights within Australia, Discount Economy includes Super Saver (classes M, L and V) and Red e-Deal (class N). International flights including flights within New Zealand (classes B, G, K, L, M, N, O, Q, S, V, V, W).
** For domestic flights within Australia, Full Economy includes Fully Flexible (classes Y, B, H) and Flexi Saver (class K). International flights including flights within New Zealand (class Y).

B Class international still only counts as Discount....
Is this still true post 1-July?

Must say the policy seems silly for International flights. My companies 'J' class deal with Qantas to NY is CHEAPER than a 'full fare' 'Y' class. No wonder no-one every buys 'Y'.... Yet a 'fully-flexible' 'B' class fare, which is significantly more expensive than many discount fares still only gets half points...

Update - ironed out all that hassle with the SCs.

Went to the next level in time for Sep 2003 deadline. Beautiful.

It's funny when you're nearing the deadline to retain your status and you try to think of what flights you could do to make up SC's. All of a sudden your there and thinking "ye gods, I made it easily".
This year I requal'd for Plat in March when it was due for a June expiry & then went and broke my ankle only to start reflying at the end of June.
Now that was just dumb luck.
