Hi All

This is more of a general knowledge question than anything else.

I recently flew with SQ as a VA WP and the boarding pass was stamped as Partner Priority. Any idea what does that mean, I still had to show my velocity card to get access to lounge, priority luggage tagging and all so cant for the life of me figure out what is the benefit of PTNR Priority

Cheers, ap_spd

Not much, as I found out on a recent trip to coughet via Singapore. Charged in for some priority boarding but that was it (Y class). Loved the lounge with no internal toilets, though, lol.

Partner Priority appears to be SQ's way of noting VA's WP status. My partner is VA WP and his BP had the same thing on it, mine had Partner Gold (as I'm VA SG). I actually don't think we needed to show our cards to the lounge etc (just the boarding pass), but can't definitely recall.

Yes a recent addition (sometime between August and April) to get VA status printed on the SQ boarding pass.

Seems your VA status now shows in the booking as they no longer check my member card when I ask for priority tag at check-in (Note: I ALWAYS have to ask) or write the member number down by hand at the lounges as used to be the practice.

Someone may also be able to confirm if this is how *alliance status is also recognised on SQ? And if this is a new or old feature?

Never used priority boarding on SQ but should give it a go.

*A status is displayed under your name on the small stub of the boarding pass and appears as LH*G 2220xx_xx_xx_ (or whatever airline you hold status on + membership number). VA Partner Priority is displayed on the large stub of the boarding pass (unless this has recently changed as well)?

Correct with "VA xx_xx_xx_X" on the small stub under your name but no indication of status.

My last set of flights on SQ in May - I had PTNR Partner Gold on the large stub, with no indication of FF# on the small stub. Whereas before, I had the VA xx_xx_xx on the small stub, without indication of status on the larger stub ...

I used it to board using the PPS club boarding time, not sure that is what it was for but the gate staff let me in after I pointed it out to them.

In the last few months my SQ boarding pass has lounge I am entitled to access printed on the large stub of the boarding pass (i have SQ status). Does this print on BP's when VA status in the booking?

thanks guys much appreciated. I will try my luck of accessing lounge without using the card and see how it goes...
