What happened to the in-flight entertainment? [content]

Well, there's nothing worth watching on TV, so why would in flight be any different!

I flew 2 VA flights over the weekend and their inflight entertainment links via their app is shocking. Has it got something to do with the new website upgrade? I click on the correct app and it takes you to a webpage view and then tells you to log into the app to watch a movie. Then you click on the play now and it actually plays....for a short time and then freezes. Anyone had similar issues or am I doing something wrong.

No it is nothing to do with the website.

The entertainment system is Lufthansa Systems' BoardConnect : BoardConnect

Having it used it at the weekend, it appears to me that the app is moving to a web based platform, but movies etc need to still play in the app.
All what happens is a message comes up saying it will launch the app.

Had no issues with it whatsoever.

I had to enable Chrome for Android to use the entertain app earlier this month.

Other than that, it worked fine.

In better news, the available content has been increased significantly.

Just back from Bali (J). On the way to Denpasar tablet clean and loaded - okay to fill in a few boring hours as the food was pretty terrible. On the return journey just 8 days later the tablet disappeared without explanation even with Platinum FF status. Last trip ever in J class with this now broken airline.
