What happens if you tick “yes” to respiratory symptoms when you check in?

Back in the day we used to cough to hide a fart, but that all changed once COVID hit and the reverse became true - so I would recommend a good vindaloo or something like that tonight so as you can hide your coughs tomorrow - and hopefully I won't be on your flights tomorrow!
I am now reliably informed that better than a vindaloo is a quick trip to KFC to consume two zinger burgers.

Here's 2 undeniable facts that will never make me change my mind regardless of what "experts" like you think

- I have not had Covid
- I've not had the flu or any lasting cold in the past 4 years
In my n=1 study, I have worn masks the absolute minimum (and very poorly when forced to), and have not have covid or the flu or a bad cold for at least 10 years.

Science? What science? That they've checked what effect masks have on every single person? I wear a mask in public, especially places with a lot of people such as shopping centres and supermarkets.

There is absolutely no reason to stop doing what I am doing because the "experts" think they know something I don't know. Most people are stupid and do not care enough about others around them. Me wearing a mask voluntarily should not concern you or anyone else.

We need to get the WHO to look at those n=2 asap, we are clearly onto something.

Too poor to know what a zinger burger is. Only heard of the 5 dollar go bucket 🤣 🤣

I’m travelling for work, due to fly home tomorrow, and have come down with a cold. Negative for COVID, so I am wrestling with my conscience. If I tick, “yes, I have respiratory symptoms” when I check in, what happens? Do they verify that I’m COVID negative, ask me to wear a mask and let me on? Give me a flight credit and ask me to reschedule? Not allow boarding and make me buy a new ticket?
I think the FBI descends down on you and and kidnap you into their lab for analysis. If you're lucky you may escape unharmed (however with major brain damage from them trying to wipe off memory from your brain)

So keep doing what you're doing if that works best for you. Laughing at someone for wearing masks is as childish as laughing at a child for wearing glasses.

But I think in a way you're right and I am special. Daughter has now been sick at least 5 times this year and wife has picked up 3 of them. Last year daughter was sick 11+ times and wife picked up 5-6 of them. One time they both had severe respiratory issues for over 1 month.

Me? Nothing. Just celulitis infections and gastro infections.

I'm one of those sort of people that doesn't catch stuff either - never had COVID as far as I know, and just spent two weeks in Egypt without getting Ramses Revenge (or sunburnt).

How does one not catch covid? even cavemen catch covid 🤣🤣 statistically impossible to not catch a cold especially for the last ten years unless you live in a protective bubble in which case you have some sort of immunodeficiency disease and am prone to die at any moment

Ramses Revenge is pretty much the Egyptian version of Bali Belly.

You were alright when you ticked the form weren’t you. If your Covid negative then that’s the important check.

Nobody is checking the airport. I flew back about 10 days ago.

To clarify, I wasn't laughing at you for wearing masks (I was being ironic about n=1 studies proving anything). But, to be honest, I have been known to laugh at people driving alone in their cars while wearing masks.

I been known to drive alone in my car wearing a mask. I have a virus with a cough and my husband (who drives more often than I do) doesn’t. I can’t cover my mouth properly while I’m driving and I don’t want to spread germs all over the steering wheel. A mask takes care of it.

I honestly forget I'm wearing mine much of the time so I've definitely done this. That's how little it bothers me and I find it very hard to relate to those who hate wearing them.

Dare I make the comment about many asymptomatic Covid infections? Some who feel they have never had it may just not have been aware.
That's a possibility but without any proof I'll just have to assume that I've never had Covid.
