Hello All,
Well I went and returned this morning on QF 12, and went straight to work after dropping my bags home.
Thanks to all who encouraged me to go, I'm grateful for your encouragement, just some thoughts:
1. Last night the flight from LA to SYD was delayed a bit because 6 armed police went to the entrance of the plane....why, I dont know. I spoke to one of the police and told hime I was a nervy flyer but he told me they had everyting "in hand and all was now OK". Still a bit unsettling to see that.
2. Flight from Syd to LA was great as we had a free seat between us, meaning extra room.
3. Super flight from NY to LA on the 747 because it was about half full and that meant I had the choice of full rows to lounge out on. That was very good.
4. Waiting at LAX last night I was near they BA boarding gate (152 I think) hardly anybody to get on the A380 to London, in fact when they announced boarding they used the phrase "as there are so few" we will have you boarded quickly.
Ok, the USA was good, NY was very cold and took some getting used to, but nice on the days it was snowing. Las Vegas was awful, smoking everywhere and to me a bit sleazy. Disney was fun and I really liked the original not so much the adventureland park.
Oh, went on "the Path" to NJ specifically to line up in the snow to go to Carlo's bakery for an American Napoleon...loved that, much better than the one in Las Vegas.
Thats a quick summary. I did it thanks to the help of people here and this guy:

I watched this doctor and this 10 minutes changed my life, because fear and panic crippled me. This guy saved me, and he just made so much sense that I feel my life has been liberated. Sounds like I am exaggerating but of all I have read and listened to this was a God send.
Thanks so much for reading.
