What if...

I would not be saying anything to QF.

Just make sure you have the points in your account to pay for it if you get advised it was a glitch and try and get an upgrade if possible.

E-tickets have always been issued within minutes of confirmed payment, in my experience.
Sometimes for my domestic bookings it can take 30 minutes or so to receive the e-ticket even though I have paid for the booking with credit card.

This is good as I recently made a mistake and booked a flight I had already booked earlier and as it had not yet been ticketed I was able to cancel the booking. Unfortunately it was one of the Qantas vouchers I bought in the promotion and will now have to call up to book again!

As for the OP in both threads there have not been any further posts so I am thinking that they may have got away with the flights without using any QFF points. ;)

On Saturday I made a JASA booking ~11:10am and it was not ticketed until yesterday ~1pm.

I think it depends on many things. I often have to wait a week or more for etickets, but that is when buying them internationally with various airlines. It is often a nervous wait. (IE when you have made a VERY good purchase and you cannot believe you have scammed it until you get the actual ticket)

But often you can do seat selecttion, etc before receipt of the eticket. I have never encountered a situation where I could seat-select, and then subsequently failed to get an eticket.

I take that back. My domestic trips seem to be issued very quickly, international when originating from outside Australia have sometimes taken > a day. But I'd be concerned if it took 2 days or longer.

I have had a ticket take a week or so when it involved points, I had to ring to get it kicked along.
