What is the best credit card for Krisflyer miles?

The HSBC Star Alliance VISA card launched in December 2022 allows me to earn 1 mile per the first $3,000 spent monthly and then 0.5 miles for any dollars spent that month thereafter, with no limit/cap. At the time I was issued the card, the first year's card fee ($450) was waived. After spending just $3,000 within the first 90 days, I was granted Gold Status on SQ through to 15 December this year. By spending $30k on the card over the ensuing twelve months, I would be renewed as a Silver Krisflyer member, and for a $60k spend, Gold Status once again for another year. You can also transfer miles at your discretion to some other Star Alliance partner airlines if Singapore Airlines is not your first choice.
Transfers have taken one business day to show up in my Krisflyer account.

Correction to the above statement regarding miles earned on the HSBC Star Alliance card.

You earn 1 star alliance point per $ spent on first $3k purchases which is equates to 0.8 miles per $ on Krisflyer on first $3k spend. After $3k spend the points earn is reduce to 0.4 miles per $.

Did they remove the Birthday Bonus from St George cards? There's no mention on the website or Amplify Rewards T&Cs that I could find

Is this for SQ only, or is HSBC transfer rate to airlines? I have nominated Air Canada, and I am under the impression that it is 1:1 for the first $3k per month, and then 2:1 (uncapped). Is this not correct?

It’s for all programs not just SQ.

I was waiting to receive it in February to put my balance over 3000 points so I could transfer to KF and close account
Points arrived early March, account now closed due to devaluation last year.

YOu earn the STAR allianc epoints at 1:1 then 2:1, and you then have to convert these to the airline program at a rate of 1000 STAR points = 800 airline points.

Just read the article. Our Commbank Ultimate (great for Velocity if you travel overseas a lot, awful if you don't), gives us 3:1 Kris Flyer, and 2:1 Velocity. Even if I was choosing to transfer to Kris Flyer, I wouldn't do that until I had the rewards flight lined up given the hard expiry. Also no worse off given the ratios. (Transferring is excellent for Istanbul.)
