(hint: it wasn't Bunnings).

Bunnings pricing policy is a bit of a joke - they won't negotiate, only do the "price beat". Wanted a quantity of wood (and was convenient to get it from them). Wouldn't talk about a better price for bulk, would only beat someone else. Do a bit of googling, find the cheapest source (less than Bunnings), take that back to them, and get 10% off that. Guess it saved me even more money in the end, as I got it cheaper than I expected.
 
In 2014 we asked Master Appliance Service for a quote on parts for our Gaggenau oven. One Phillips 47w halogen linear oven bulb. They quoted $174 for the bulb plus shipping. We got it direct from Gaggenau for $19.95.

I wrote to them asking how they justified the price. Surprisingly I didn't get a reply.:)
